Workshop Goals:

The detailed goals of this workshop are:

  • Defining best practices and addressing challenges for RE and BPM with a focus on agility and flexibility
  • Exchanging ideas for agile practices for RE and BPM
  • Getting Experience reports from both academia and industry
  • Exchanging ideas and problem statements regarding in the integrated development and analysis of business process and software-intensive systems.
  • Discussing the role of RE and BPM during evolution of processes and systems
  • Identifying open research topics

Format:

The workshop is planned as a meeting with an initial keynote, paper presentations, discussion and a general idea exchange.

Topics of Interest:

Topics of interest are not restricted to aspects of agility, but include all issues related to RE activities and techniques in the BPM programmers or BPM activities and techniques during a RE project. We are open for all contributions that raise discussion on the possibilities and limitations of a better integration of BPM and RE.

Submissions:

Original submissions from research and practice in the following categories are welcome

  • Full Papers: Papers describing concepts and methods in the form of Research Papers (up to 12 pages).
  • Short Papers: Papers describing concepts and methods in the form Solution Proposals or Pre Studies (up to 6 pages).
  • Experience Reports: Case Studies/ Case Descriptions (up to 6 pages).
  • Problem Statements: Describe a problem that is currently open and shall be discussed and/or researched in the future (up to 6 pages).

  • Submission deadline: 25.05.2018 via EasyChair
  • Extended submission deadline: 11.06.2018 via EasyChair
  • Decisions to authors: 29.06.2018
  • Camera Ready due: 13.07.2018
  • Registration of at least one author: T.B.D.
  • Workshop date: 10.09.2018

Publication:

Workshop papers will be published by Springer as a post-workshop proceedings volume in the series Lecture Notes in Business Information Processing (LNBIP).
